General Show Rules
This show is open to any person from the ages of 19 years old and younger and must be a
member in good standing with an FFA chapter or 4H Club. All people wanting to participate,
along with their parent/guardian must complete and sign an appropriate entry form.

All animals must have an official health certificate issued by an accredited veterinarian at
time of check-in. All animals must be free of lice and are subject to health requirements of the
state of Florida.

Charlotte County Prospect Show Rules

Show Dates: Oct. 2, 2010
Check-in: 7:00 A.M. - 9:30 A.M.
Show will start at 10:00 A.M. but may be delayed depending on number of entries
Show order: Bulls, Steers, Showmanship and Heifers
There will be a Pee-Wee showmanship class for those 7th. Old and younger

*Show is open to all 4H, FFA, & Fl. Jr. Cattlemen’s Members between 8-18 yrs. Old.
*$25 entry fee if paid by Sept. 17, 2010 after that date there will be a $5.00 late fee added per entry
*$10 entry for showmanship except pee-wee class
*There is no charge for pee-wee showmanship

*All exhibitors will receive premium monies
*All show premiums will be determined by the show committee after all cattle are checked in
*Each exhibitor/Owner must assume all liability in case of death or injury to his/her animal and any injury or death incurred by his/her animal.
*The owner is responsible for the care and clean up of his/her own animal
*Filling/pumping of animals with any substance, water included, is prohibited
*Any violation may result in the disqualification of the animal and the exhibitor. If disqualified, all premiums, prizes and entry fees will be forfeited.
*Bring generators, electricity is limited.

OPEN YOUTH BEEF SHOW - HEIFERS, STEERS, BULLS
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2010
SCHEDULE:
Arrival Time: 7:00am-9:00am
We will make every effort to begin our show at 10:00am, but this may be delayed depending on the number of calves
entered and needing to be weighed. Heifers will be shown first followed by Showmanship, Steers then Bulls. At
some point there will be a 30 minute break for lunch and we announce when this will occur at the show.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1. All exhibitors must be between the ages of 8 and 21 years old on October 17, 2010.
2. All Beef Cattle Breeds on the U.S.D.A. Recognized Beef Breeds list as of September 1, 2009, will be eligible to compete.
3. Each exhibitor/owner must assume all liability in case of death or injury to his/her animal, and any injury or death incurred by his/her animal.

ENTRIES:
1. There will be no maximum number of entries per exhibitor.
2. There is a $25 entry fee per head. Checks need to be payable to KVLS.
3. Use separate entry blanks for each exhibitor.
4. ALL INFORMATION AND SIGNATURES MUST BE COMPLETED.
5. Entries will be accepted at check-in. A $10.00 late fee will be applied to each entry.

$25.00 per calf entry, $10.00 per showmanship(ages 8 – 18) entry. All entries must be postmarked by Oct 10, 2010 to avoid a late fee of $10.00 per animal.
Show to be held at the KVLS Building at the Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee.
Please attach a copy of breed registrations. Please copy and use if more room is needed.
Must be between 8 and 21 years of age to show.
Pre-registrations will be assigned a spot in the barn or tent as received.
All heifers must be 24 months of age or younger as of Oct 16, 2010

January 14 & 15, 2011
Kissimmee Valley Livestock Arena

UPDATE: Steers entered in this show must have an EID bolus inserted
(electronic identification). Show locations to be released soon (one is
August, September and October). There will be a $15.00 fine for the bolus
to be paid when the steer is identified. This will complete the entry. The
same steer entered at the initial entry/bolus must be the steer shown at the
Florida Fat Steer Show in January, and will be verified by the EID. If you
have any questions concerning the bolus, please call any time.



This is a steer show open to all exhibitors ages 8-21.
(Steers will not need to be sold or slaughtered, but will be judging as terminal steers)

Entry: $100.00 per head by July 30, 2010.
Late entries accepted by August 27, 2010 with an additional
fee of $50.00 per exhibitor.

Grand Champion Steer - $3,500.00
Reserve Champion Steer - 2,500.00
*Top 5 steers overall with receive cash prizes.

Attention potential steer exhibitors at the 2011 Florida Fat Steer Show in January - the first bolus date has been set for September 17 and 18 at the Manatee Classic Showdown in Palmetto. Your steers can be bolused and you may also enter your steers into the Florida Fat Steer Show at the check-in table.
